Dave Edwards gives his first interview after returning to Town
Dave left Shrewsbury in the summer of 2007 to join Luton Town, he then spent nearly 10 years with Wolves before moving to Reading in the Summer of 2017. Dave also represented Wales at all levels gaining 43 caps for the senior side.
Dave joins Town on a two and a half year contract.
Edwards spoke to Shrewsweb in his first interview since returning to Town and expressed how delighted he was to have signed.
“I'm Absolutely buzzing, I can’t take a smile off of my face at the moment. It’s been a bit drawn out, obviously, things at Reading have been difficult over the last couple of weeks and difficult to get things sorted.
“Once I thought that there was a possibility of me being able to get out of my contract at Reading. There was only one place I wanted to come if they wanted me. Over the weekend we managed to touch base with the manager and Brian Caldwell and things have moved on really quickly from there.
It was probably one of the easiest contracts I’ve had to sign. I just wanted to get it in and get it sorted.”
