Eisa Signs New Deal

Abo Eisa signs new year and a half deal with Town

Shrewsbury Town can confirm that Abo Eisa has signed a new contract with the club.

The winger has signed a one-year deal with further year option to extend.

Abo signed from Wealdstone for an undisclosed fee on an 18-month deal last on deadline day last season.  He’s featured in the first team a number of times but at the start of this season he picked up a knee ligament injury that kept him out of action for a while.  He returned to first team action in the Checkatrade win at Crewe in November, and scored.

Abo is pleased to have signed a deal with the club and is looking forward to working hard with his teammates.

“It’s very good news,” said Abo. “I am very excited and have always liked it here, so I am very happy to extend my contract.

“We have had ups and downs this season but that makes you as a player and you learn different things through it.

“I see everything that has happened as a blessing in disguise. Maybe it will give me more of a hunger to succeed.

“I am delighted Sam likes me, so it’s a nice feeling to be wanted. For him to give me a contract shows that he believes in me.”
