Omar Beckles looks ahead to Town's Checkatrade Trophy clash with Port Vale.

Shrewsbury Town are on the road again tomorrow evening as the Shrews Take on Port Vale.

Town travel to Vale Park for the Checkatrade Trophy clash tomorrow and will look to make it four games undefeated.

Omar Beckles was pleased with the performance from his team last time out and hopes to see more good performances going forward.

“I thought we should have got more out of the game,” said Omar. “We should have cleaned it up earlier in the game.

“We had opportunities to win the game and if we had got that second goal it would have knocked the stuffing out of them.

“When we left it at one nil we gave them a little bit of hope, so it disappointing

“At the same time as a League One side against a Championship side, we fancy ourselves.

“To play against players of that quality is good and it motivates a lot of the players.

“It gives some players a chance to prove themselves to it was a good experience.”

Omar is looking forward to the clash with Port Vale and feels his team have enough to win the game.

“You can expect the same as usual from us,” said Omar. “We are going to be working hard.

“We want to win every game, so we will have the same work ethic and look to win.

“They will have a point to prove, they will want to pick up wins where they can to build up momentum.

“I am sure they are going to be tough. It will definitely be a challenge.

“The competition can be good for those who aren’t involved as much and for the vibe around the training ground.

“Everyone wants to be playing games, so it’s a good opportunity to for people to get minutes.”
