Sam Ricketts spoke to Shrewsweb this morning about Joel Coleman and the clubs current goalkeeping situation.
“It probably didn’t work out exactly how Joel wanted it to be. I think he came here to try and play every week and it didn’t work out that way for him.
“Huddersfield decided to recall him, I think they’ve sent another young goalkeeper out on loan and Joel will go back in and train with Huddersfield for the rest of the season.
“I thank him for all his efforts whilst he was here. It didn’t quite work out how he wanted but I’m sure he learnt from the experience and it will be good for him in the long run.
“We always have lists of goalkeepers and any position of what we like and who’s available for the next half of the season.
“Unfortunately Cameron Gregory has got a stress fracture in his spine so we need to make sure he recovers properly from that. He’s had 3 weeks rest and we’ll continue that for another 3 or 4 weeks and see how he feels then.”
