Supporters To Name Bar At Community Football Hub

12 January 2019

Supporters Parliament ask fans to name Community Football Hub Bar

Shrewsbury Town in the Community are taking over the Power League facility at Montgomery Waters Meadow, it will now be known as The Community Football Hub.

The Community Football Hub will continue to operate the all weather pitches and existing leagues and bookings.  The bar will be run by the Football Club and added to the clubs existing hospitality operations.

The Supporters Parliament have been in discussions with Brian Caldwell and Jamie Edwards from day one and are pleased to announce that we will oversee the re-naming of the bar, and will support the Football Club with the internal decoration of the bar.

This is a fantastic opportunity for all supporters to be part of, a supporters bar has been a long time coming for many Shrewsbury Town fans since the move to Oteley Road.

The Football Club recently asked through social media what ideas supporters had for a new name for the bar, those suggestions were considered by the Supporters Parliament as they narrow the selections down to a final five.

An online vote has been set up to provide everyone with the opportunity to make their choice, there will also be a final opportunity to vote at a special launch event hosted by the Supporters Parliament, prior to the official opening of the bar on Saturday 2nd February when we play Luton Town at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

The winning name will be announced at the end of the launch event evening.
