Around 300 tickets per hour sold in first day of Wolves Emirates FA Cup sales
Tickets for the Emirates FA Cup tie went on sale today and Town season ticket holders have been quick to snap up their tickets.
Sales topped the 2,500 mark yesterday evening and with Wolves expected to sell their 1,700 out quickly total sales are well past the 4,200 mark.
With 2,500 tickets snapped up during Thursday that means the ticket office were dealing with around 300 sales per hour.
Season ticket holders have until Saturday to get their tickets, after that Fancard and non season ticket holders who have 10 loyalty points or more get the chance to buy their Wolves tickets.
Town CEO Brian Caldwell has been pleased with the early demand from season ticket holders and is expecting the game to sell-out.
“We are delighted to see the early interest in the match and I’m sure the 4th Round FA Cup tie against our nearest rivals, which isn't live on TV, will see a sell out in due course”, said Brian.
“When we arrived this morning there was already a queue so the ticket office staff opened an hour earlier to save so many people standing for another hour in the cold.
“The ticket office was scheduled to close at 5pm but with supporters still queuing the ticket office staff carried on selling for over an hour and a half after that.
“Demand has been high for tickets all through the day and we have had three windows in operation for most of the day, as well as dedicate staff on the phones and online orders.
“We can understand some supporters frustration at not being able to get through on the phone first time but if they email email@example.com with a contact number ticket office will get back in touch when they get time.
“Season ticket holders have until Saturday to get their normal seat and the ticket office will be open between 10am and 2pm on Saturday for those who can’t get down during the week.”
