Digital Ticketing

26 July 2019

A quick update from Martin Gaunt our Ticket Office Manager on Digital Tickets.

At the Aston Villa game, we had numerous fans trying to scan the tickets using their mobile phones on the turnstiles to attempt entry to the game.

This has been an ongoing problem but there seemed to be a spike in attempts for the Aston Villa game.

Shrewsbury Town currently does not support Digital Ticketing through mobile phones as a method of entry at the turnstiles.

The tickets that supporters attempt to use are ‘Print at Home’ tickets that are emailed to the supporter in PDF format and as such, need to be printed off to guarantee that they will work at the turnstiles.

As a club, we are working to bring full digital tickets in but we would ask that for now, anyone who buys a ticket and chooses to ‘print at home’ at the checkout actually does print them off.

If a supporter tries to scan their phone at the turnstile, there is a good chance that their access into the stadium may be delayed by having to visit the Main Ticket Office to get their ticket reprinted.
