Shrewsbury Town can confirm that striker Lee Angol has joined Sky Bet League Two side Leyton Orient for an undisclosed fee.
Lee joined Town last summer and had a good start to the season scoring four goals before the end of September. He was used more as an impact substitute towards the end of the year and then joined Lincoln City on loan until the end of the season.
The move will give Lee the chance to establish himself in a Leyton Orient side who will be hoping the momentum of promotion back into the EFL will continue.
Sam Ricketts believes it is a good move for Lee and wished him well for the future.
“Lee has got a lot of attributes and things that go in his favour but it hasn’t quite worked for him here”, said Sam.
“He is still a young forward and the interest has come for Leyton Orient and we have accepted that bid.
“I hope he goes to Orient and shows what he is capable of doing, and I wish him well for the future.”
Good luck to Lee in the next chapter of his career and we would like to thank him for all the hard work and dedication during his time with Town.
