Aaron Pierre gives his first thoughts after signing for Town
Aaron spoke to Shrewsweb shortly after signing his contract and expressed how delighted he was to have signed for the club and how happy he was to have the opportunity to prove himself at League One level.
“I spoke to the Gaffer and he’s got high expectations and is very ambitious,” said Aaron. “The type of players he’s bringing in and the style of football he wants to play is perfect for me and I can’t wait to kick on.
“The facilities are good, the ground is nice. I just can’t wait to get on the field and do what I do best."
When asked about what he values as his best traits Aaron joked and said “I’ll leave you to find out.
“No but seriously, I’m aggressive, I’m good in the air and I like to give my all every time I’m on the pitch.
“I was captain for the second half of the season last year with Northampton so I like to see myself as a bit of a leader as well.”
Aaron briefly spoke about his aims for the season.
“Obviously like any team you need to achieve safety first and then you can kick on from there. But the main thing is for me is to enjoy every moment and make the most of every opportunity you get.”
