Shrewsbury Town are pleased to confirm we will play a pre-season game with Sky Bet League Two side Newport County.
The game is set to be played on Wednesday 17th July at Ludlow Football Stadium with a 7pm kick-off. The game will give Town supporters in South Shropshire the chance of seeing Town play locally.
Shrewsbury Town manager Sam Ricketts is expecting a good game against a team who enjoyed a good season last term.
“Newport had a really good season and just missed out on promotion via the play-offs”, said Sam.
“It will be a good test for us and another decent game to add to the pre-season programme.
“To play the game at Ludlow will also be good and I hope a lot of fans will come out and watch the game.”
Full ticket details will be confirmed soon but the prices have been confirmed at Adults - £5, Disabled - £5, Senior - £5 and junior 16 and under - £1.
Town’s will play the following pre-season games and hope to confirmed another couple of games shortly.
Tuesday 9th July – (A) Sheffield Wednesday in Portugal
Wednesday 17th July – (H) – Newport County (7pm) @ Ludlow Football Stadium
Sunday 21st July – (H) - Aston Villa (2pm)
Tuesday 23rd July – (A) – Cheltenham Town (7:45pm)
