Brad Walker Returns To Town

12 March 2019

Brad Walker returns to Shrewsbury Town from Wrexham to recover from injury.

Sam Ricketts confirmed in his press conference earlier that Brad Walker is returning to Shrewsbury for treatment due to Walker picking up a hamstring injury which he picked up in Wrexham's defeat to Leyton Orient on Saturday.

Walker has been in impressive form lately with the National League high-fliers. Both clubs have suggested Brad's recovery time will be between two to three weeks.

Ricketts spoke to Shrewsweb and believes this is a good opportunity to integrate Brad into the Shrewsbury training camp.

"We'll pull Brad back in and he'll do all his rehab here," Sam said. "It's disappointing for him that he's got injured, he's been in a real rich vein of form and playing very well.

"We'll get him back in, it's disappointing for him but it's good because we can get him in and around the building, meeting all the players.

"He has been here a couple of times already but to he'll have a sustained period of time here so he'll settle in well and we can start working him towards next season now with his fitness and everything we want to work on.

"At least he'll be around the building now and when he gets fit will determine if and when he plays again next season."
