Greg Docherty Pre Plymouth Argyle

Greg Docherty previews Town's trip to Plymouth Argyle's Home Park.

Shrewsbury Town are on the road again as Sam Ricketts’ men next take on Plymouth Argyle at the Pilgrims Home Park.

Town will be looking for a return to winning ways after a disappointing afternoon against Rochdale AFC last time out.

Greg Docherty was left disappointed last time out despite scoring a late goal, and hopes to see his side bounce back against Argyle.

“It was frustrating,” said Greg. “We had 18 shots on goal and we had more than enough to get back into the game.

“I just think we need to be more clinical. It was difficult conditions, but it was the same for both teams.

“I think we were really the ones trying to play and had the impetus in the game. These things can happen.

“They might have had a little bit of a lift with their new manager or what not. We should be going there and be coming back with at least a point.

“Now we want the next game to be a positive result and it is a difficult game going all the way down there.

“This game is no different to any other game in this league, anyone can beat anyone.”

Greg is expecting a tough test against the Pilgrims who currently sit in 15th place but feels his team are more than capable of taking home the three points.

“We need to go down there with the aim of getting three points,” said the midfielder. “There is no reason why we can’t go and do that.

“They won’t be the same side as we faced earlier on in the season, they were low on confidence then.

“I think it will be quite an even game to start with, but if we take our chances, there is no reason why we can’t go there and get the three points.

“Everybody is still in the mix - from the bottom all the way up until 12th.  We can’t look back and we are looking forward.

“We want to finish this week strong and finish with all six points.”
