Ollie Norburn Post Wycombe Wanderers

17 March 2019

Ollie Norburn reflects on Town's 2-1 win over Wycombe Wanderers.

Shrewsbury Town secured three points against Wycombe Wanderers last time out.

Town managed to fire two late goals to come back from a goal down to earn the win.

Ollie Norburn was pleased with the win and was delighted to have secured the winning goal.

“It’s all about the three points,” said the midfielder. “I don’t think it was the prettiest of games and the conditions didn’t help.

“That’s the situation we are, we have to scrap and we have to keep digging. A football game is 90 minutes and if we stick together anything can happen.

“The win has proved that, so we are delighted to have the win and we just need to carry this on until the end of the season.

“It’s all about picking up points now and getting safe. It was tough conditions but the three points is all that matters.

“It felt nice getting the late goal. I didn’t really think about it too much when I stepped up – I just tried to keep my cool.

“It was a great ball by Greg for Omar’s goal and a good header, which got us back into the game - it gave us a boost.

“We can’t get too up, we need to rest up and go again next week. Everyone is grafting and fighting.”

Ollie is hoping his team can continue their form and pick up more points in the coming games.

“Today is a massive three points and it is tight down there, but we just need to keep going and keep fighting,” said Ollie.

“Portsmouth is another massive game – they all are big games now until the end of the season.

“We just need to keep going and keep grafting. We just want to get out of the situation that we’re in.

“We are all together in there and we are all fighting for the manager. No one wants to be in this situation.

“Today was a massive, massive three points, but we need to keep going.”
