Long standing sponsor continues its away shirt sponsorship
Shropshire Homes, a long standing sponsor of Shrewsbury Town, will be on the front of the club’s brand new Admiral away shirt for the 2019/20 season
Howard Thorne, the company’s managing director, along with fellow directors, Richard Bowler and Gerald Rogers, have been sponsoring the club since the 1980s, but their support for the team goes further back than that.
“Shropshire Homes have been a mainstay of sponsorship for the club for many years now,” said Shrewsbury Town’s commercial manager, Andrew Tretton. “They have regularly sponsored matches, advertising boards, the youth team and academy, and of course, has been on the front of our away shirt for the past couple of seasons.
“As has been the case for many years now, this is a significant level of commitment from Shropshire Homes and I am thrilled that it will continue to support the club by sponsoring the front of the away shirt once again.”
Howard Thorne added: “We first sponsored Shrewsbury Town back in 1986 soon after we had established Shropshire Homes, which was a match ball against Chelsea in the FA Cup. We have sponsored the Youth Team since 2000 and were proud to have our name on the team’s away shirts for the last two seasons, and are delighted to be doing so once again. We can’t wait to see the shirts in actions on the pitch, and of course being worn by proud Salopians around the county!”
