Dean Whitehead has joined Town as First Team Coach.
Dean leaves his position as Under 19 Coach with Huddersfield Town to join Town.
Manager Sam Ricketts spoke about needing to bring in someone to replace Joe Parkinson who left last week to become assistant manager at Hartlepool United.
Sam said he wasn’t going to rush into an appointment and wait for someone who would fit in at the club and add to the backroom staff.
Dean's playing career saw him play over 600 times for Oxford United, Sunderland, Stoke City, Middlesbrough and Huddersfield Town. He retired from playing at the end of the 2017/18 and moved into the Huddersfield Town backroom staff.
