Brad Walker Pre Newcastle United U21s

8 October 2019

Shrewsweb talks to Brad Walker ahead of Tuesday evening's game as Town face Newcastle United U21s at Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Brad talks about Town's win over Tranmere on Saturday."I thought it was brilliant from start to finish, even before they went down to ten men, I thought we had control of the game, and the sending off helped the second half, but it was great to get three points and a clean sheet."

Brad praises his team and how he has settled in with life at Town. "We've got a great squad, the team are doing well, I feel like I've settled in really well and I'm just waiting for a chance to get in the team and show them what I can do."

"The training sessions and the fitness side of it all has been excellent. It's what I needed within myself, and it's all good." Brad tells us how he has been enjoying the training sessions and how the sessions have been improving him.

Brad was a part of Town's 2-1 defeat at Vale Park last time they played in The "It was a disappointing result, but I thought the first-half performance was really good. We've got a break now leading up to Lincoln, so we've got to play some good football because we've got a long wait until our next League game."

"For the lads that haven't been playing it's a chance to impress and to show what you're about and I think everyone's pushing in the same boat because we want to win the game." Potentially a lot of squad rotation could be upon us tomorrow evening with three players out on international duty and having two injuries throughout the squad.
