Lang Under Goes Operation

15 October 2019

Callum Lang had a successful operation yesterday on an injury in his foot.

Callum fractured his metatarsal in the Sky Bet League One victory away to Tranmere Rovers at the start of October.

He saw a specialist who recommended that he had surgery to pin the injury.

Surgery went well and it is expected that recovery will take around three months.

Town manager Sam Ricketts is disappointed that Callum will be missing from selection.

“Langy has started really well for us and has been a great addition to the squad”, said Sam.

“It is a real disappointment for Langy, and for us, that he will be out of action for a while.

“We will give him all the support and help to make sure that he comes back stronger from this setback.

“We have really good options in the forward line and this will give someone else a chance to step up.”
