Max O'Leary Pre Gillingham

Max O'Leary previews Town's Sky Bet League One fixture against Gillingham

Town's inform shot-stopper helped Town reach their sixth clean sheet of the season as Town's draw with Lincoln on Friday meant that Town are now four unbeaten on the road.

Shrewsbury are looking to build on that record at home as they face back to back home games against Gillingham and Sunderland.

Max spent some time with the local press this morning and explained that he's proud of his team's defensive duties so far this season having achieved an impressive clean sheet ratio so early on in the season.

"Of course I'm really proud, as a defensive unit that's what we want to try and achieve every week, it's always something that the team can build off of. It's been a good start and I'm happy with it.

"Clean sheets can be hard to come by at times but every clean sheet helps. It's what we're there to do every game, so the more we get the happier we are."
max briefly reflected on the game against Lincoln on Friday night and was happy with how the team applied themselves in the game.

"I thought we executed the game plan well against Lincoln, we didn't get the win that we went there for but it was a good point in the end and we managed to keep the momentum going from the results we've picked up in the last few weeks."

Max is looking to build on Town's unbeaten run away from home and put together a string of positive results at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

"We love playing at home, we didn't get off to the best of starts in terms of scoring goals but obviously we've had some good results at home so we're looking to build off of those away performances and hopefully get a win against Gillingham.

"We're approaching Gillingham the same way we approach every game, we're confident with our preparation, we've trained well this week and it's been a good lead up to the game so hopefully we can go out and get the win."
