ACADEMY: Jamaine Turner Post Fleetwood Town

30 September 2019

Jamaine Turner has said that his team mates will pick themselves up after their 1-0 defeat to Fleetwood Town.

It was a tense game with both sides creating the opportunities to score but it was Fleetwood who took their chance and scored the only goal of the game in the second half. Turner said; “I thought we had a lot of good chances and we created some good opportunities”.

Luke Ward missed a penalty deep into the second half that would have levelled the scores, but Turner said; “The penalty was a pinnacle part of the match, but we shouldn’t have let the goal go in with eight people being in the box.

“It was one of those days where normally we would be backing ourselves with the chances we had.

“It’s just one of those things we have to pick ourselves up next week and try and go again”.

Turner was carrying a slight knock into the game, so made his appearance as a second-half substitute, he said; “It was a hard game to get into and it took me a bit to get going. I feel like I didn’t have as much of the ball as I would like but I did create some chances.

“Hopefully I can get a start next time out”.
