Callum McKenzie Pre Oldham Athletic

20 September 2019

CALLUM McKenzie has said that his side need to “roll their sleeves up” as they search for their first away win against Oldham on Saturday.

The young Shrews have secured back to back home victories, scoring seven and conceding none in the process and McKenzie feels the time is now to push on away from home.

He said; “We’ve got to win away that’s two good performances we have had in the last two weeks. Now we have to roll our sleeves up and go away to a tough place in Oldham.

“The lads are full of confidence now, but we aren’t going to get carried away we need to keep our heads down, keep working hard and apply ourselves well away from home”.

Speaking of Saturday’s match, McKenzie said; “Being away causes different problems, Oldham will be dogged and direct, a similar side to the last two we have faced.

“The pitch will be different to what we are used too but we will manage the conditions the best we can. We will spend the week preparing properly and go out there and try and win, it is all about consistency now”.
