Sam Ricketts confirmed this morning that Omar Beckles has not accepted a new deal with the club.
During today's press conference, Sam Ricketts was asked about the future of Omar Beckles. Sam explained that the club had offered Omar a new deal several months ago but no action had been taken, so the club decided it was time to move on without him.
"We made Omar an offer and that hasn't been taken up so we're planning without him as we speak at the moment.
"From our point of view, we could only wait so long, so we've had to move on. It went on that long that we couldn't hold back any longer really from what we'd offered him which was a good few months ago to be fair."
STFC would like to thank Omar for his fantastic contribution to the club on and off the pitch over the past few seasons and we wish him all the best in the future.
