Town's fixture with Crewe Alexandra has been postponed due to a second positive Covid-19 test.
Shrewsbury Town Football Club can confirm a second unnamed Salop player has tested positive for Covid-19.
The health and safety of all staff members at Shrewsbury Town Football Club remains paramount and the Club continually takes all necessary steps to protect all where possible. Therefore, Salop has informed the EFL that the Club is unable to fulfil our Sky Bet League One fixture with Crewe Alexandra this Saturday.
The second individual, who will not be named, will also self isolate in accordance with EFL and Government guidelines and we ask that their privacy is respected.
The Club will be making no further comment at this time.
