Michael Edwards is treated to the Best Seats in the House!
Michael Edwards, who has been a loyal Town supporter for over 60 years, was the latest Salop fan treated to our Best Seats in the House.
Sponsored by Shrewsbury-based Reach Digital Telecoms, Town have installed two Cobra heated seats with two USB ports and drinks holders situated on the half-way line behind our Sovereign seats.
As well as sitting in the Best Seats in the House, Michael and Paul were provided with complimentary food and drink, a match-day programme and STFC blankets to keep warm!
Despite heart and health problems, 73-year-old Michael takes up his seat for every game in Block 16 to support his Club. Shrewsbury Town were delighted to have Michael use our Best Seats in the House alongside his good friend Paul for the Bristol City game.
Speaking to ShrewsWeb, Paul explained why Michael deserved a treat on Shrewsbury Town. He said: "Michael hasn't been very well, on and off, for a number of years now but he still makes sure he comes to the Town games.
"I've sat by him sometimes and he's needed to go home but he won't go! He stops for the game - he's a true supporter. It's really nice that he's invited me along with him as well. The seats are brilliant, they are nice and warm. Everyone has looked after us."
Michael added: "The seats are very nice, they are lovely and warm."
