Conor McAleny joins Town on loan until the end of the season.
Shrewsbury Town Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Conor McAleny from Fleetwood Town.
The 27-year-old forward joins the Club on loan for the remainder of the season and is eligible for Town’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Rochdale.
Conor began his career with Everton and has most recently spent time with Kilmarnock in Scotland and Oxford United and Fleetwood Town in League One.
Sam Ricketts is pleased the striker has joined Town and is looking forward to working with his new signing. He said: “He’s a player with real big ability. I’ve known of Conor for about four years now - he’s had some good spells at Wigan and Oxford.
“He has real quality, can score goals, can assist and works hard. He’s been unlucky in that his career hasn’t really ignited. He has really good ability on the ball. Graham worked with him at Wigan but he's someone I have known about for a number of years.”
