Harry Burgoyne joins Town

Harry Burgoyne joins Town on a short-term contract.

Shrewsbury Town Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Harry Burgoyne.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper joins Town from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a short-term contract until the end of the season.

Harry began his career with Wolves at the age of 12 and has spent time out on loan with A.F.C Telford United, Falkirk and Barnet so far during his career.

Town manager Sam Ricketts is looking forward to working with Harry and is pleased to have added more quality to the Salop squad. He said: “He’s a young goalkeeper who really shot up the ranks at Wolves. He got into the first-team and did very, very well.

“He's found opportunities hard to come by in the last year or so. He has been out and played some games on loan at a few different places. He’s one we are pleased have in and it gives us both an opportunity to have a look at each other.

“He has a great personality and drive to be successful and that’s what we want. He’s a young player with potential. He adds to the squad and allows flexibility in that area.

“He’s played games, he’s a good young goalkeeper and is someone we are delighted to have through the door.”
