Season tickets go on sale for the 2020/21 Sky Bet League season at 10am on Thursday 12th March, allowing fans to join the Salopian Family.
Football is about family and generations of Town fans have followed the club’s journey for well over 125 years and now the window is open to join your club.
Last season, over 3,500 Town supporters bought a season ticket, with the highest number of sales being in the 12-18s age group - a significant increase in the younger generation visiting the Montgomery Waters Meadow.
With this year’s pricing structure, having a season ticket will see an adult Town fan pay £13.47 per game – if purchased at the early bird rates, which equates to around seven games for free.
The club continuously strives to increase the number of youngsters supporting Town, with better a match-day experience, competitive pricing and excellent work in the local community and around the wider county by our charity partners Shrewsbury Town in the Community.
Under 12’s will once again be able to secure their seat for free when accompanied by an adult, 12-18s will pay just over £5 per game, whilst 19-23s will pay £8.65 to come to the Montgomery Waters Meadow to back the boys in Blue and Amber each game-day.
Prices have been frozen for our younger supporters, whilst adults and over 65s will see a small increase of £5 on their season tickets - an increase of 22p per game.
Town CEO Brian Caldwell is encouraged to see more young fans attending games at the Montgomery Waters Meadow regularly and hopes to see the next generation of Town fans emerge in the coming season.
“When I first joined the club, I spoke about our aim of attracting the next generation of young Shrewsbury Town fans”, said Brian.
“With the increase in the number of season tickets sold in the 12-18-year-old age bracket, it shows the progress the club is trying to make on and off the pitch.
“At a recent Supporters Parliament meeting, one supporter spoke about how he attends games with his dad, and now his son who used to support a Premier League club but now prefers to spend his time with his dad and Grandad watching his local team, Shrewsbury Town.
“Football is one of those shared experiences where all generations of a family will come together on a regular basis. A season ticket gives supporters great value for money and guarantees their seat for any big games we may have over the season.
“Football brings families together and provides a unique experience every other Saturday. As a club, we work hard to work with the fans to give value for money and recent developments at the Montgomery Waters Meadow have provided that.”
Season tickets are now on sale and you can renew yours, or purchase a new season ticket, in the normal ways.
