Daniel Udoh reflects on Town's away win over Bristol Rovers.

Shrewsbury Town’s afternoon in Bristol came to an end with Salop securing all three points over Bristol Rovers

Daniel Udoh’s second-half strike was the difference between the two sides as the Shrews registered an away win over the as the Gas at the Memorial Stadium.

Daniel Udoh was delighted to have netted for Town and hopes his team can build on the performance away from home in the coming fixtures.

“These days are the kind you hope for and hopefully there is more to come,” said Town’s forward. “Ro-Shaun said I would score today. Luckily he kept on running forward and opened up space for me - thank God for that.

“Jason said we should all shoot really hard and low because the keeper is a big lad - it would defy physics for him to get down that quick. I thought the performance was really good right from the start. They had a spell for five minutes but we dominated after that.

“We should have scored in the first-half but we came back and dominated the second-half. Today just shows how capable we are as a team. We were frustrated that we didn't score but we knew that we could score.

“We were all focused on making sure we got the win and thank God we did. I have added to my tally, but I am no where near where I want to be. As a team, we have to keep working hard and finish as high as we can.

“It was good to have Langy and Jason either side of me today. I spoke to them before the game, to have us three up top causing mayhem was good. The Manager told us to cause them problems and I think we did that today.

“I just hope that we can finish as high up the table as we can. As a team, we all want to do well - not just individually. We have a really good group and we showed that earlier on in the season during the FA Cup.”
