Netflix and Quarantine with Callum Lang

Footballers spend a lot of time on the road during the regular season, travelling to and from games with some long nights in hotel rooms. Whilst the majority of that time is spent resting and recuperating, it still leaves a rather large time slot to fill.

One way a lot of the team like to relax is to watch Netflix which provides endless options to keep them entertained throughout the season. We asked Callum Lang his top three recommendations on Netflix that could help you pass the time whilst we are all at home.

Peaky Blinders

“Peaky blinders is my all-time favourite nothing beats it, if someone tells me it’s not that good, arguments start.”

Peaky Blinders is a gangster family epic set in Birmingham, England, in 1919, several months after the end of the First World War in November 1918. The story centres on the Peaky Blinders gang and their ambitious and highly cunning boss Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy).

Money Heist

“Money heist also a very good watch & there is a new season coming soon so I'm looking forward to that.”

Money Heist is a crime drama - originally called La Casa de Papel. Money Heist season 3 has just been released by the streaming service. The plot reads: "Eight thieves take hostages and lock themselves in the Royal Mint of Spain as a criminal mastermind manipulates the police to carry out his plan.”

Never Back Down

“Never back down, is a quality film and don’t think many have watched it compared to other stuff on Netflix so I reckon it’s worth the watch”

The movie was released on March 14, 2008. The film is about a frustrated and conflicted teenager who arrives at a new high school to discover an underground fight club.
