Town defender Ryan Sears joins AFC Telford United on a month loan.
Shrewsbury Town Football Club can confirm Ryan Sears has joined AFC Telford United on a month loan deal.
The right-sided defender will join up with the Bucks for a second time at the New Bucks Head in the National League North in search of regular first-team football following on from an ACL injury.
Shrews Manager Sam Ricketts is pleased Ryan has the opportunity to gain first-team football and is looking forward to working with the 21-year-old next season.
“Ryan broke into the team during the back end of last season as was doing very, very well but unfortunately got injured,” said Sam.
“This move is purely an opportunity for him to get a number of games in before the end of the season so when he comes back in for pre-season he’s had some good game time and proper action.
“Ryan went on loan to Telford a few years ago and this is just an opportunity for him to go and play games. It’s local, he’s with Ryan Barnett and it’s a club he knows well – it’s just to get him back into the rhythm of playing. We want this to kick-start him so he’s ready for pre-season."
