Town Loan Update

9 March 2020

A look at how Town’s players are getting on away from the club.

Lifumpa Mwandwe - Newtown AFC

Newtown were back on the road last weekend for a visit to Caernarfon Town’s Oval in their latest Welsh Premier League fixture. Despite starting the game well and taking the lead in the 26th minute, Newtown lost out 3-1. Lifumpa spent the entire 90 on the pitch but couldn't help prevent the loss.

Ryan Barnett - A.F.C Telford United

Telford were also on the losing side on the weekend as they narrowly lost out 1-2 to Darlington at the New Bucks Head. Ryan Barnett featured until the 74th minute but couldn't make an impact for the Bucks in their National League North fixture.

Kian Taylor - Coalville

Kian Taylor featured alongside Billy Kee in another Southern League Premier Division Central fixture as they took on Hitchin Town. However, Town’s young midfielder was left disappointed as his team were outscored two goals to one at the Owen Street Sports Ground.

Sam Agius - Market Drayton

Sam Agius was once again in between the sticks for Market Drayton at the Green Fields Sports Ground as the Gingerbread Men took on Ilkeston Town in the Northern Premier League Division One South East. However, the young goalkeeper was unable to prevent the away side from notching a goal and his team lost out 0-1.

Elliot Tibbs and Edan Sears - Shawbury

On a more positive note, Elliot Tibbs and Edan Sears both contributed to Shawbury United earning a point against Black Country Rangers in the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division. Tibbs enjoyed a full 90 on the pitch, securing Man of the Match, and Sears made his debut, coming on as a second-half substitute.
