David Edwards previews Town's away Sky Bet League One fixture with MK Dons.
Shrewsbury Town are on the road again as Sam Ricketts’ men take on MK Dons in another Sky Bet League One fixture.
Town will be looking for a return to winning ways against Russell Martin’s team after losing out against Ipswich Town at Portman Road last time out.
Salop midfielder David Edwards is expecting a tough test from the Dons and acknowledges Town need to pick up points in the upcoming fixtures.
On his experience and taking care of his body:
“As I have got older, I spend more time working on my recovery and utilising the sports science that has been bought in over the years. You have to do everything right otherwise you get found out especially in a busy period like we are now.
“I feel good. I have adjusted back in well and from a personal point of view, I am delighted to be back playing. As you get older it's harder to miss games as you don’t know how many you have left so it's great to be back.
“I have to be that calming influence and instill confidence into the lads. I have been through ups and downs. I have experience in coping with these situations like we are in now and that’s where I can use my voice and put my arm around lads who need it."
On the challenge of MK Dons:
“Everyone has a different approach. I like to work with the analyst and get videos of teams and their players and see how they play, see who I am up against, and just have the right information before the game.
“Over the years, MK Dons have always been a footballing team. They like to move you all over the pitch and try and tire you out so we have to be ready for that and try to hurt them where we can.
“You can do all the work you want ahead of a game but it's about those 11 lads who cross that white line and too many times this season we haven’t killed teams off and we need to put that right."
