Aaron Pierre previews Town's away fixture with AFC Wimbledon.
Shrewsbury Town are on the road this weekend as Salop take on AFC Wimbledon in the latest Sky Bet League One.
Aaron Pierre is looking forward to the fixture and is hoping his team can build on recent form going into the tie.
On the busy schedule going forward:
“I think it was good for us to have a little break. We have a very busy schedule with two games per week pretty much right through to January now.
“It has given us a chance to focus on being more defensively solid. Compared to last season, we are more dominant in terms of possession so we are just trying to maintain that.
“The games are coming thick and fast, the information is coming thick and fast, so we have to just help each other, and make sure we know our roles”.
On the challenge of Wimbledon:
“It will be tough, every game in this league is a tough game. We have to make sure we execute in the final third and just do our best to keep clean sheets.
“We have to take our chance and be confident with one on ones in the final third. Then on the defensive side, we have to limit their chances and just dominate possession.
“We are just combining things together at the minute. The Gaffer is getting us into a lot of passing drills and finishing drills in training to really help us be more clinical”.
