Get to know new Town number 27 Marc Pugh a second time.
Shrewsbury Town were delighted to welcome Marc Pugh back to the club as he joined Salop on a short-term deal.
After leaving Shropshire in 2009, the winger has enjoyed a fruitful career having won promotions with Bournemouth from Sky Bet League One and the Sky Bet Championship.
Most recently, Pugh spent time with Queens Park Ranger in the Sky Bet Championship but will now spend his immediate future back in Shropshire.
On his return the club:
“I am really pleased to be back and I am looking forward to getting started. The facilities here are fantastic. The Manager and the Chairman have done a fantastic job and I can’t wait to get back on the field.
“The training facilities have improved a lot since I was last here and I’m looking forward to the challenge of helping Shrewsbury climb back up the table."
“I loved living in the area and I am glad to be back. There is a hungry set of lads here who want to do well, so that was the big attraction in coming here.
"With Charlie Daniels being here, that was a factor. I know him really well. Our link-up is almost telepathic and we’ve had some great memories together down the years."
On his experience playing at the top level:
“I have learned a lot playing in the Premier League and hopefully I can help the young lads. Winning games and being confident is half the battle and once you develop that winning mentality you start to progress."
On his mindset now he’s back with Town:
“I always like to get in double figures with goals, and I just want to help Shrewsbury Town play as well as they can.
“I like to take players on and create chances and chop inside. Scoring goals is the best thing in football, and I haven’t changed since the fans saw me last. Hopefully I can show them what I can do as soon as they are back in the ground."
