Harry Burgoyne looks ahead to Town's fixture with Gillingham.

Shrewsbury Town Football Club welcome Gillingham to the Montgomery Waters Meadow this weekend for Town’s next Sky Bet League One fixture.

Town will be looking to take all three points away the Gills after securing a 1-1 draw away from home against Plymouth Argyle last time out.

Town shot-stopper Harry Burgoyne is looking forward to the tie and hopes his team can secure all three points.

On the full week of preparation:

“The week has been great, the boys are training really well. We want to get that first win on the board in the league and everyone is really looking forward to the game.

“I just try to prepare the same every week in training, and you just have to be ready to perform whenever you are called upon.

“Last week was the first time as a keeper I have had to come on due to injury, you have to adapt to the game quickly and we didn’t concede once I was on. We came away with a point so I was delighted with that. I have had really confident week in training and all I want is for us to get that first win of the season”.

“It gave me a lot of confidence, after the Boro game I wanted to come out and show everyone what I can really do and hopefully I get to do that.

“It's never nice to come on due to someone getting injured but that is the harsh reality sometimes as a goalkeeper. I just have to now perform and do the best I can to get the first win this Saturday”.

On the game against Gillingham:

“They have had a good start to the season. I am familiar with Jordan Graham, he’s a tricky player and has a lot of quality, he likes to get crosses in so if we can keep him quiet, I’m sure we will have a great chance to win the game.

“As long as we are aggressive with our press for the full 90 minutes, that will stop players like Jordan from getting those crosses in and that will be key to winning the game”.
