Sam Ricketts previews Town's Sky Bet League One clash with Fleetwood Town.

Shrewsbury Town are back on the road tomorrow evening for the latest Sky Bet League One fixture with Fleetwood Town.

The Shrews will be looking for a return to winning ways against the Cod Army after a narrow defeat at the hands of Rochdale.

Sam Ricketts is expecting a tough test against Joey Barton’s side as Town look to secure all three points.

On preparations and the fixture:

“Today will be about preparing and recovery going into the game. Likewise, it will be the same going into the weekend. It’s nothing we haven’t done before but we haven’t done it on this scale.

“Everyone would like a free week in the build-up to games for recovery and preparations. On the plus side, we can focus on the games as they're coming quickly. Players would rather be playing games.

“Fleetwood have brought some players in which has changed them a little bit. They had a great season last year reaching the play-offs. They didn’t have a great start but they have rectified that with some signings.

“They have good players going forward. It’s going to be a tough game but one we are looking forward to. We need to stop the service into their key players and be defensively solid. Their forwards are very, very good for League One.

“We want to see more of the same from our team. We have to convert the number of chances we’ve had into goals."

On the squad going into the game:

“We don’t have any fresh injury concerns coming out of the game at the moment. We will see today in training how everyone is.”
