Aaron Wilbraham reflects on Town's Sky Bet League One away win over Blackpool.
Shrewsbury Town's trip to the coast ended with Salop earning all three points over Neil Critchley's in-form Blackpool.
Matthew Pennington's second-half goal was the difference between the two teams as Salop left Bloomfield Road with all three points and a clean sheet.
Aaron Wilbraham was pleased with the result and felt the Salop performance warranted the win away from home.
On the result:
"I thought the lads were excellent today throughout the 90 minutes. In previous games, we have been good in maybe one half and not the other. I think everyone was disciplined for the whole game and we deserved the win.
"Blackpool have some really dangerous players and we focused on that in the week. They are a good side and we knew we had to have a game-plan coming into the fixture. Everyone stuck to that, even the subs that came on. All of the lads took the detail on board in the week and were committed to each other and the team.
"For the goal, we practiced about 10 of those yesterday in training and Chappy missed every one of them. He told us that he'd get a rub on the hamstrings and he'll be ok tomorrow. He stuck it right on the money and Penno makes that run really well. He's not the biggest defender you will see but he's really aggressive when attacking the ball. It was a great header and a great team win.
"We have had some positives to take from recent games and the lads carried on from where they left off in the last game. The job wasn't done before today and we didn't want to limp over the line. We put in a great performance against a team who were unbeaten in 16 before their fixture with Rochdale."
