Aaron Wilbraham reflects on Town's home Sky Bet League One loss against Lincoln City,

Shrewsbury Town's Sky Bet League One evening fixture with Lincoln City ended with the Imps securing all three points at Montgomery Waters Meadow.

With a first-half goal from Jorge Grant, Michael Appleton's side held on to secure the win despite Town pushing the away side until the very last second.

Town Assistant Manager was disappointed with the result but felt Salop ultimately deserved a point from the fixture.

On the result:

"We didn't start the game very brightly and they did. We could have won the game 2-1 if you look at the chances we had. Josh Vela is disappointed because he made two great runs for those chances. I thought the lads gave everything and I was pleased with the way we reacted to the goal. Sometimes you don't realise how close you are to the goal when you make those runs.

"We ended up with some good chances and better chances that Lincoln had on the night. For their goal, it was a good ball and it looked like he was going to shoot. The lad drifted the ball into the back post. The lads usually defend the back end of the box well but Grant did well to get in with a header. They started the game quite brightly and we took a while to grow into the game.

"As I've said before, you don't want to change personnel when you are growing into the game. We felt like we needed more of a threat towards the end of the game so we made that triple change to give us more threat. We kept going until the very end and the lads gave it their all."

On tom Bloxham's debut:

"He's another young lad who deserved his chance. He works really hard when he comes up to train with us and he's got that rawness about him. He's got great feet for a big lad, he's quick and he doesn't mind using his body.

"People like Tom and Charlie Caton have shown the right attitude when they've trained with us. The Gaffer has seen clips of them and it was his decision to give them their debuts. They've both made good impressions."
