Aaron Wilbraham previews Town's Sky Bet League One home fixture with Oxford United.

Shrewsbury Town welcome Oxford United to Montgomery Waters Meadow this weekend for the latest Sky Bet League one fixture.

Salop will be looking to secure all three points with the visit of the U's in Town's penultimate home game of the Sky Bet League One campaign.

Prior to focusing on Town's fixture, Salop Assistant Manager Aaron Wilbraham confirmed to the media that Steve Cotterill is set to make his return to Montgomery Waters Meadow this weekend.

Update on the Gaffer:

"It's unbelievable news considering he only left the hospital six weeks ago. Getting back to a game before the end of the season has been his main aim. He's worked incredibly hard to be able to return. It will be emotional for him and it will be emotional for everyone at the Club.

"I've not seen his face since the first of January at all on any kind of Zoom or FaceTime. I think it's going to be great for everyone to see him back. He's hated every minute of being away and he feels like he's let people down. He's never stopped working and he's done unbelievable things."

On the test of Oxford:

"Having played them only two weeks ago, we do know what they are about more so than when we are going against other teams. We didn't get the result we wanted down there and we have to learn from that and see where things went wrong.

"We are going into another game against a team who are looking to earn play-offs. We need to look at our last few games and take the positive elements into the next fixture. Having the Gaffer back will be a massive boost and we obviously want to win the game.

"We have done well against the teams higher up in the league and we want to do well again. We want to finish the season strong and we have three tough games left. We want to use these last few games to build for next season."
