Aaron Wilbraham previews Town's Sky Bet League One away fixture against Morecambe.
Shrewsbury Town's next fixture sees Steve Cotterill's men hit the road for the first away fixture of the 2021/22 Sky Bet League One campaign.
League One newcomers Morecambe at the Mazuma Stadium await as Salop look to earn the first three points of the new season.
Town Assistant Manager Aaron Wilbraham expects a stern test from the newly promoted outfit but hopes to see Town's quality shine through on the road.
On the fixture:
"Morecambe have already started off with a couple of decent results but this will be their first home game. They will be up for it, the crowd will be up for it so we need to go there and start on the front foot. We need to be ready because they will come at us.
"Preparing for them is a slight unknown seeing as they've just come into the league so we have to be on our guard against them. We need to focus on ourselves more than anything else. They've had some positive results in the first couple of games so we know it will be tough.
"All of the lads are ok and came through the game without any problems. The lads showed terrific character in the last game to secure the win. Securing a win against a good Lincoln side is encouraging. We finished the Burton game strong and deserved something from that game."
Carabao Cup draw:
"Everyone started texting me straight away. It will be nice to see some old faces but we will be focusing on getting into the next round."
