Following last week’s disappointing draw, the 18’s started the game much better, asserting their dominance early and creating a host of chances. Ten minutes in, following good play down the right-hand side, the ball fell to Dennis Antal just outside the six-yard box, but the Salop man saw his shot saved.
On the nineteenth minute, Town finally broke the deadlock, following good work down the right-hand side once again by Jamie Spiers and Dennis Antal. Jenson Cooper managed to control an awkward cross and drove the ball into the bottom left corner to give Town a deserved lead.
We continued to dominate and just after the half-hour mark, Jenson Cooper got his second. Again, good work down the right-hand side with Jamie Spiers producing an excellent cross for Jenson to head the ball past the keeper.
Second-half we started a little slow, though we quickly began to produce chances. Just after the hour mark, Ben Croft (who was brought on for Jamie) defended a long ball well then set Louis Lloyd on the counter-attack, Louis did well to create a chance for himself and produced an excellent half volley from outside the box. Overall, good performance from the U18’s who won the game 3-0 earning three points and a clean sheet.
