Khanya Leshabela shares his thoughts on signing for Salop on loan from Leicester City

Shrewsbury Town Football Club were delighted to earlier confirm the arrival of Khanya Leshabela from Leicester City.

The South Africa under-20 international makes the switch to Montgomery Waters Meadow on a season-long loan from the Foxes.

The young midfielder is pleased to have joined the Salopian family and is looking forward to getting started with his new team.

On joining the Salop:

"I am grateful for the opportunity to start off my career in men's football. I am excited and really looking forward to getting started. The main thing for me now is getting minutes and playing games. Hopefully I can get my numbers up with goals and assists. I want to help the team and help the club get to where it wants to be. I am just happy to be here and ready to get going."

On his history and style of play:

"I joined Leicester when I was around 13 and I've been there ever since coming through the ranks. It has been great and I have learnt a lot, but now is the time for me to experience senior football. My international experience was different because the under-20 Cup of Nations was my first tournament away with an international team. As a player, I'm box-to-box and I like to get around. I'd say I've got a bit of flair."
