Covid-19 Update

10 December 2021

An update regarding the implementation of Plan B

Supporters will be aware of the Government implementation of COVID-19 Plan B which affects large events from 15th December 2021.

As a club we have always committed to following both Government legislation and EFL protocols in dealing with safety around the pandemic.

As our capacity falls just below the threshold of 10,000 for the mandatory need for COVID certification or a negative lateral flow test we do not intend to implement these measures at this time. However, this will be kept under review as legislation and protocols change.

Since the announcement, the EFL have had further discussions with DCMS in relation to stadiums with capacities over 10,000 which could would require our own supporters attending away games to comply with COVID certification however the EFL have confirmed that the COVID certification for 10,000+ relates to anticipated attendance rather than stadium capacity.

Therefore we will do our utmost to advise our supporters travelling to other stadia if there are measures they need to comply with in respect of Government, EFL and host club’s policies and procedures.

We will continue to provide socially distanced seating in Blocks 12 and 13 home and Block 20 away and encourage supporters to wear a face covering particularly in indoor settings such as concourses whilst not eating/drinking.
