Aaron Wilbraham previews Town's Sky Bet League One away clash with Accrington Stanley.

Shrewsbury Town are back on the road this weekend as Salop take on Accrington Stanley at the Wham Stadium.

Salop will be looking to make it three consecutive wins with a victory over the home side following wins over Swindon Town and Sunderland AFC.

Aaron Wilbraham is looking forward to the fixture and was also delighted to provide a positive update on Town's Manager, Steve Cotterill.

Update on the Gaffer:

"The Gaffer is on a massive high to be back home. It's great for him and his family, it has been a long time coming - it has given him a massive boost. There isn't a time scale on when he'll be back in training, even though he's desperate to come back.

"He's missing the boys and he's desperate to be here. For now, it's going to have to be the same as it has been. He'll be on the phone and Zoom giving us all the details. It's a lot better now that he's back home, he's got more access to things.

"For now, there is no way the specialists would allow him to return. He has to get his health right and that's the most important thing. He's not on social media but he's been made aware of all the love and support. That support has given him a massive boost and he wants to thank everyone for that."

On the task of Accrington:

"The lads are all well rested and raring to go. Accrington can play both, they can go very direct but they have very good movement. They get the ball down well, especially in the opponent's half. Me and Davie actually went to watch them against Doncaster - we had a good look at them.

"They're on a really good run so it will be a tough game for us. They will be very organised and well-drilled. I don't think they are predictable. You always expect a tough game when you travel away to Accrington.

"We are all determined to go out there and secure three points. The performance against Sunderland was great and we want that to continue. We have to take confidence from our recent performances going into this tie."
