Aaron Wilbraham reflects on Town's loss against Bristol Rovers

Aaron Wilbraham reflects on Town's Sky Bet League One loss against Bristol Rovers.

Shrewsbury Town's clash with Bristol Rovers ended in defeat as the home side secured a 2-1 win at the Memorial Stadium.

Despite a late goal from Daniel Udoh, Town were unable to find the equaliser and the home side held on to claim all three points.

Aaron Wilbraham was disappointed with the result but feels Town will bounce back with a positive result in the next Sky Bet League One fixture.

On the result:

"We are disappointed with the result but we don't feel let down by the lads. There were areas where we weren't quite at it but that's the first time I've said that since I came in -  that's testament to how the lads have been. We put a lot into the game against MK Dons and we just looked a little tired.

"We always bounce back from defeat and we will be looking to do that on Tuesday. We will re-evaluate tomorrow and see how everyone is after a tough game. The subs who came on did well and we need to get recovered ready for the next game.

"Playing against a team who've just had a new manager isn't easy and they had a spring in their step. It was probably the wrong time to play them. We've got no excuses and we know we should have been better. The lads are really disappointed but we will bounce back. In terms of analysis, we always look back at games and see where we can do better."

On the late Salop goal:

"We've shown in other games that we have character but we are disappointed today. It would have been a little bit of a smash and grab if the late chance went in. The boys are disappointed but we will look to start another positive run of games starting on Tuesday. With the next game, we will see what the Manager says and go from there."
