Aaron Wilbraham reflects on Town's loss against Crewe Alexandra

2 February 2021

Aaron Wilbraham gives his thoughts following Town's narrow 1-0 loss against Crewe Alexandra.

Shrewsbury Town's clash with Crewe Alexandra ultimately ended in defeat as the away side took home a 1-0 win.

Own Dale found the target for the Railwaymen and, despite Town's efforts, the goal was enough to secure all three points.

Aaron Wilbraham was disappointed with the result and is hoping to see a return to winning ways in the next fixture.

On the result:

"It's frustrating. We conceded a sloppy goal from our point of view and we normally don't do that - that was disappointing. We did everything we could to get back into the game and we created a lot of chances. It was frustrating to end up losing the game.

"We deserved a point at least but we need to learn and do better as a group. It was a great run by Chapman early on and you fancy him to score following on from last week. He was unlucky and if that goal goes in, it's a different story.

"Everyone is a little bit frustrated and disappointed - and so we should be. We can take some things from the game because of the chances created but we need to be better in those areas. We need to finish off our chances and not concede at the other end."
