Aaron Wilbraham reflects on Town's Sky Bet League One away win over Swindon Town.
Shrewsbury Town's trip to Wiltshire ended with Salop traveling home with all three points after earning a 1-0 victory over Swindon Town.
A dominant performance was topped off with a Harry Chapman wonder strike as the away side saw the game out well to earn the win.
Town's Assistant Manager, Aaron Wilbraham, was delighted with the win and felt the Salop performance deserved all three points.
On the result:
"We will take a 1-0 win all day long. It was a great battling performance from the boys. They had to stand up and be counted in the second half and they certainly did that. The lads in the team worked well and we deserved the victory.
"Aaron Pierre was forced out with an injury from Tuesday night so we are struggling a little bit in that department. We had to change the shape a little bit and that probably surprised Swindon. The Gaffer gave us a lot of guidance on what to work on and we nailed a lot of detail down in training. The lads knew their jobs in that formation and it was well worth the work.
"Norburn and Vela ran the game from midfield in the engine room and they were all over the pitch for the boys today. They're good friends off the pitch and you can see that when they play together. Sean Goss made some great runs in behind and caused all kinds of problems.
"The last 10 minutes was down to pure desire. Our two centre-backs had a clash of heads 30 seconds into the game but they stood up and were warriors for the full 90 minutes. David Davis gave us more energy when came on and we needed his legs in the final third."
Harry Chapman and Curtis Main's contributions:
"It was great hold-up play from Curtis Main and Chappy's shot came off nicely. It was a great strike. To see it go in off the post was a great feeling. Harry is a match-winner and he works hard for the team. We took Harry off because he had a little bit of cramp.
"Curtis put his body on the line, showed his strong centre-forward work, and did what we needed from our forward man. It was a great centre-forward performance and he put in a great shift."
