Getting to know Curtis Main

9 February 2021

Curtis Main speaks to iFollow Shrews following his move to Salop from Aberdeen.

Shrewsbury Town were delighted to welcome Curtis Main to the Club on Deadline Day as the forward made the move to Shropshire from Aberdeen.

The former Salop loanee joins the Club for a second time having represented Town on a one-month loan deal in 2013.

Curtis is delighted to be back at Montgomery Waters Meadow and is hoping to have an immediate impact on the Salop squad.

On joining Town:

“I am really excited to be back and I’m looking forward to finishing the season strongly. I think the most attractive thing was the opportunity to come and play football. I remembered how well the club was run and it just had a nice feel about it so when I found out it was an opportunity, it was one I wanted to take.

“A lot has changed since I was last here, new training ground but to be honest it was the opportunity to come back and play for a club that believed in me, so I wanted to be able to repay them for that.

“I have gained a lot more experience and I know a lot more about the game. My overall game has certainly improved which I’m looking forward to showing. In the North, it’s a lot different, it’s very competitive but even from Saturday’s game, and you can see that it’s tough here too but it’s something I relish and I’m looking forward to.

“Fans can expect me to give 100% commitment and desire to get the three points first and foremost. I try and bring my quality to the game, attacking play, strong in the air and hold up play.”

“My goal aim is just as many as possible, I am feeling good and excited to be back. I am playing with confidence and I like the setup of the team, the squad and I am looking forward to gelling with the side even more.”
