Sean Goss reflects on Town's Sky Bet League One victory over MK Dons.

Shrewsbury Town's Sky Bet League One fixture with MK Dons ended with Salop ensuring all three points remained in Shropshire.

Goals from Sean Goss, Ollie Norburn, and Curtis Main were the difference between the two sides as the Shrews built on their point in the last league fixture.

Town midfielder Sean Goss was thrilled with the win and was pleased with his two-goal contribution to the Salop victory over the Dons.

On the result:

“It was a brilliant night. To get the three points and score four goals at home against a team that are in form is very pleasing. It shows where we have come, especially from the last time we played MK Dons.

“We are disappointed we haven’t kept the clean sheet as well, but at the end of the day, it was a brilliant three points. They were top of the form table so they are a team that is doing really well lately. We prepared really well for this game and we knew where we could win the ball back. The preparation we put into the game really paid off."

On his first league goals for Shrewsbury Town:

“It has been a long time coming, the first goal really got us going. After getting that first one, we felt we could get a few more as well.

“It was a brilliant assist from Josh Vela for my second. He was class tonight, he worked so well for the team. Going in at three one and getting that fourth goal was massive for us because we know they are a team that can score goals. They have shown that all year it was vital and gave as a cushion at the end.

“I’ve been desperate to get that first goal and I got two tonight. Hopefully I can build on that now and chip in with more goals."
