Get to know new Town midfielder Harry Chapman in his first Salop interview.
Shrewsbury Town were delighted to welcome Harry Chapman to the Club as the midfielder made the move to Shropshire on loan as Steve Cotterill's first January transfer.
The 23-year-old joins the Club from Blackburn Rovers as he looks to secure valuable game time at Montgomery Waters Meadow.
Harry is pleased to have joined the Club and is looking forward to working with his new team.
On joining the Club:
"I am very excited, I can't wait to get going now. It's unfortunate that the game is off on Saturday but I can't wait to get going. I want to play games here, the last couple of years have been a struggle being in and out of the team.
"I wasn't getting very much game time and I was very limited to what I was able to show. Hopefully coming here with this Manager, he puts his full trust in me and I get some games under my belt. The Manager seemed really optimistic and he's very excited about this team.
"The results have picked up massively since he came in and we are looking to push on. The recent form is really encouraging but it's going to be difficult to get into the team. I will have to work hard and prove to the Manager that I am good enough to slot in. I want to help the team out where I can when I'm needed."
On his style of play:
"I am dynamic, like to run at people, and like to take people on. I like to create chances for my team-mates. I wouldn't say I'm a goal-scorer, I'm more of a provider. I haven't set any assist targets, not yet. I will have to see how my first couple of games go and build from that.
"This squad has the experience and that's what you need. We have youth here too which makes a great balance. I have played here once or twice, it's a good ground. When the fans are here, the atmosphere is always good. It's a family Club and I like it - I'm really looking forward to getting started."
