Town will begin the 2021/22 Sky Bet League One campaign at Montgomery Waters Meadow with the visit of Burton Albion.
Steve Cotterill's men will begin the new Sky Bet League One fixture campaign with the visit of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's Burton Albion to Montgomery Waters Meadow on Saturday 7th of August. Town's first venture on the road commences with a trip to take on newly-promoted Morcombe at the Mazuma Stadium on the 14th of August - swiftly followed by a trip to Fratton Park to take on Portsmouth three days later.
The Christmas season begins with Town starting the month of December with consecutive away trips against Wigan Athletic and Doncaster Rovers on the 7th and 11th respectively. A home game follows when Town welcome Steve Cotterill's former Club Cheltenham Town to Montgomery Waters Meadow on the 18th.
Boxing Day football will see Salop travel to Highbury Stadium taking on Andy Pilley's Fleetwood Town. However, two home games follow as Salop shift focus towards the New Year. Town's Christmas mid-week fixture, scheduled for the 29th of December, will see John Coleman's Accrington Stanley travel to Shropshire. A New Year's Day cracker follows as recently relegated Sheffield Wednesday visit Shropshire for one of the most anticipated occasions in Town's fixture calendar.
A fan favorite each season, Town's penultimate game of the regular Sky Bet League One season will see Steve Cotterill's men venture into London to take on Charlton Athletic at the Valley on the 23rd of April. Salop will conclude the 2021/22 campaign with a home fixture against Doncaster Rovers on the last day of the month.
